The aim is to move your checkers safely around the board to your inner board and at the same time your opponent shifts their checkers toward their inside board in the opposing direction. With opposing player checkers shifting in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for specific tactics at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon tactics to round out your game.
The Priming Game Tactic
If the aim of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to shift their chips, the Priming Game tactic is to completely block any activity of the opposing player by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s pieces will either get hit, or result a battered position if she at all attempts to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be built anywhere between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. Once you’ve successfully built the prime to prevent the activity of the competitor, the competitor doesn’t even get to toss the dice, that means you shift your pieces and roll the dice again. You will be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Strategy
The goals of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game tactic are very similar – to hurt your opponent’s positions hoping to improve your chances of succeeding, however the Back Game plan relies on seperate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game strategy is often utilized when you are far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this plan, you have to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This plan is more difficult than others to employ in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your chips and how the pieces are moved is partially the result of the dice toss.
