Gambling backgammon could be fun, especially if you know how to win by playing excellently. But every now and then a trick or two can help you even more and make you a more accomplished competitor.

One of the greatest strategies to succeed is to block your opposing player in. It’ll prevent them from moving their checkers from your home board. This must be completed at the start of the game to keep your adversaries two pieces in your home boardthere. So you need to shift your checkers to points 7, 5, and four as swiftly as possible and even 2 and 3 if you can. Maintain your point of six with the six checkers as it is. This will guarantee that your opponent cannot will not be able to leave your home board and help your chances of blocking them in to come away with a win.

By barracading your opposition in, they will be hoping for double 6’s once all other moves have been completed to get those 2 checkers away from your home board. If doubles are not tossed, your opponent will be required to shift 1 piece at a time, as long as they get a 6 or better, and leave 1 checker behind and vulnerable. Of course while veering off your own checkers, ensure you don’t leave 1 abandoned where your challenger can send you off the board to go through their home board.

When you’re not sure what to do, hit. This can help you win because once your opposition is hit, that piece is the checker they must move before they can do anything else in the game. So if you hit them numerous times, they will have to get a number of pieces back to the board and get past your pieces to succeed. Make sure you don’t hit where it will cause you to be vulnerable to being hit yourself. Unless of course it will be beneficial to you, as in early on in the game when your competitor won’t have you blocked in.

Landing a hit when you have a block started can also be good because as soon as you get a couple of points locked, your opponent will have a harder time getting their checkers out of your home board and defeating you. It’s even possible to hit them a number of times and get your barricade finished. That way you can lock them from returning to the game and even having an opportunity at defeating you.

These two tips aren’t the only way to succeed, but they’re exceptional ideas for novices to become more accomplished enthusiasts. So when you master these, succeeding most of the time certainly won’t seem to be such a difficult thing to do.
