The Essential Basics of Backgammon Strategies – Part One
Posted in Backgammon on 08/13/2023 09:25 am by ZaireThe objective of a Backgammon game is to move your chips around the Backgammon board and pull those pieces from the board faster than your opponent who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a round in Backgammon needsrequires both tactics and fortune. How far you can move your chips is up to the numbers from tossing the dice, and just how you shift your chips are decided on by your overall playing strategies. Enthusiasts use a number of plans in the differing parts of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Technique
The aim of the Running Game strategy is to bring all your checkers into your inside board and get them off as quickly as you could. This technique concentrates on the pace of moving your checkers with no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s checkers. The best time to employ this tactic is when you think you might be able to move your own pieces faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your competitor’s pieces; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Strategy
The primary aim of the blocking tactic, by the title, is to stop your opponent’s chips, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. Once you’ve created the blockade for the opponent’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other chips quickly off the game board. You should also have a good plan when to withdraw and move the checkers that you used for blocking. The game gets interesting when the competitor uses the same blocking tactic.
