Backgammon is the original game in recorded history. It has been called as the "wee battle," backgammon started in Mesopotamia (now called Iraq) almost 5 millennia ago. For all that, Egyptians referred to backgammon as "Senat," which was a close form of the present game played at this time. Backgammon and competing old games were never acknowledged by most churches. The churches felt that the game was the tool of Satan. This caused churches to blacklist and burn the game. The abolishment and burning had never prevent people playing games and being entertained.
